Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit using critical thinking and the nursing process. The RN performs assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion.
Responsibilities- Provide competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process.
- Adhere to standards of practice and professional performance including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Maintain clinical knowledge and skills required for intensive care settings.
- RN Degree (ADN, BSN, or MSN).
- Valid RN License to practice in Virginia.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in general ICU.
