Preservice Review RN – Remote in HI
Optum, a global organization delivering care through technology, invites a qualified RN to join our team in Hawaii. You will review clinical documentation, perform research, and make determinations that directly improve health outcomes for our members.
Responsibilities- Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements.
- Identify solutions to non‑standard requests and problems.
- Conduct moderately complex analyses and solve problems independently.
- Translate concepts into practice and provide clear explanations to others.
- Coach and guide colleagues with less experience.
- Serve as a resource for team members on difficult issues.
- Align work with legal, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Maintain productivity and quality goals while meeting deadlines.
- Conduct non‑clinical research to support determinations.
- Review existing clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Carry out clinical research to support determinations.
- Make final determinations using evidence‑based guidelines.
- Achieve and maintain established productivity and quality metrics.
- Drive effective clinical decisions within a business environment.
- Valid RN license and residency in Hawaii.
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience in an acute setting.
- Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet).
- Availability on Saturdays.
- 3+ years in utilization management as an RN.
- Remote work experience following United Health Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
The hourly rate for this role ranges from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
