Hickory Trail Hospital, an 86‑bed behavioral health facility located just south of Dallas, has been providing quality health care to the residents of DFW since 1988. The hospital offers inpatient and day treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each client’s case and their family’s needs. Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Position SummaryThe Assessment / Referral Coordinator is responsible for the timely processing of inquiry and referral calls. The Coordinator serves as liaison to referral sources, physicians, unit staff, and hospital personnel involved with each transfer request. Duties include entering call data into the facility’s database and managing e‑fax applications to process incoming referrals and transfer requests promptly. The Coordinator effectively communicates with unit staff, physicians, and Admissions Triage Staff and follows hospital policies and procedures regarding referral management.

QualificationsEducation: Licensed RN;
Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health related field (QMHP)
Experience: 1–3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care.
Licensure: License must be current and in good standing.
