The Registered Nurse plans, organizes and directs Hospice care and is experienced in nursing, with an emphasis on community health education / experience.
** Position Specific Responsibilities
** Participates in on-call duties as defined by the on-call procedures.  Supervises ancillary personnel and delegates responsibilities when required. Participates in orientation, education, and development of team members.  Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development and maintains and upgrades professional knowledge and practice skills through attendance and participation in continuing education and in-service classes.
** Education and/or Experience
** Preferred - 1 year experience practicing as a registered nurse. Experience as a Hospice CNA or Hospice LPN will be considered.

The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

In a healthcare setting, exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and conditions typical to the field is expected. Routine use of standard medical equipment and tools associated with clinical care is essential.
