**** About the Role
** The
** Operating Room RN
** plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate surgical care. This position requires a strong clinical foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

You’ll provide direct patient care using the nursing proces
** s**—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while coordinating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing staff to deliver seamless care throughout the perioperative experience.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Provide safe, effective, and compassionate care for surgical patients before, during, and after procedures
* Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
* Maintain sterile technique and enforce infection control standards
* Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
* Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
* Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort, dignity, and clear communication throughout the surgical process
* Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives###
** Qualifications**
* ** Current RN License
** or eligibility in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required)
* ** Basic Life Support (BLS)
** required within 90 days of hire
* ** BSN or MSN preferred
*** Specialty certifications as applicable to area (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) within specified time frames
* Previous OR experience preferred, but open to RNs with a passion for surgical care and a commitment to learning
