• Weekend Coverage: 7 weekend shifts per contract
• Float Requirement:
  Mother/Baby unit
• Call Requirement:
  Occasional
• Orientation: 64 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2120-$2280

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Nursery RN experience (Level I/II nursery preferred)
• Active California RN license (required for submission)
• BLS and NRP certifications (AHA required)
• STABLE certification preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Ability to float to Mother/Baby unit
• Patient ratio experience: 3:1

Nursery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate neonatal care and family support in a clinical setting
• Conduct newborn assessments, stabilization, and management for infants 34 weeks and older
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and phototherapy
• Assist with procedures: CPAP, UVC/UAC lines, nasal cannula, intubation, surfactant administration, passive brain cooling
• Educate parents on newborn care, discharge instructions, and car seat safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, rapid response)
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in stabilization and transfer of infants to higher levels of care
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and families
