Organization Overview – New Horizons of North Texas is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of children and families in our community. Position Summary

The Program Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all program sites. This role ensures program quality, operational compliance, and staff development while promoting a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment for students. The Program Director provides guidance, coaching, and support to Site Directors and program staff to deliver high-quality after school programming that aligns with the organization’s mission, values, and faith-based principles.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Strategic Leadership & Program Oversight, provide proactive, strategic leadership to Site Directors and staff, ensuring alignment with organizational and faith-based missions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational systems, procedures, and processes to maintain program quality, safety, and compliance with nonprofit standards.
  • Lead and coordinate initiatives to enhance program delivery, youth engagement, and overall student development.
Staff Management & Development
  • Coach, mentor, and support Site Directors in managing staff performance, training, and accountability.
  • Ensure staff understand their roles, responsibilities, and operational expectations, incorporating faith-based principles in program delivery.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities to strengthen leadership skills,program quality, and staff effectiveness.
Operational Planning & Decision-Making
  • Oversee staffing and coverage plans across sites, ensuring adequate support for daily operations and program continuity.
  • Make informed, site-wide operational decisions that prioritize safety, program quality, and organizational mission.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with nonprofit objectives.
Program Quality & Faith-Based Development
  • Lead the effort to identify curriculum and content that will be used daily at each site.
  • Monitor and enforce utilization of the organization’s chosen curriculum.
  • Monitor program implementation to ensure alignment with curriculum, faith-based values, and organizational standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess program quality, staff performance, and student engagement.
  • Ensure all program activities reflect the organization’s faith-based approach, promoting character development and spiritual growth.
Communication & Partnership Engagement
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with Site Directors, staff, families, and Executive Director regarding operations and program initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between Executive Leadership, Site Directors, and staff to ensure alignment, collaboration, and effective problem-solving.
  • Represent the organization positively in the community, fostering relationships with families, donors, volunteers, and faith-based partners.
