The Dorset ME Support Group is looking for a compassionate and proactive Self Management Care Co‑ordinator to support people living with ME/CFS across Dorset.
In this varied role, you will work directly with members to help them develop self‑management strategies, improve wellbeing, and access the support they need. You will organise social and wellbeing activities, coordinate local support groups, and liaise with healthcare professionals and partner organisations to ensure members receive appropriate help.
Key responsibilities- Supporting members with ME/CFS to develop self‑management skills and strategies
- Coordinating support activities, workshops, and local member groups
- Signposting and connecting members with relevant services and agencies
- Building relationships with NHS services, community organisations, and volunteers
- Contributing to the delivery and development of the charity’s support programme
- Is empathetic and committed to supporting people with long‑term health conditions
- Has experience in community support, health, wellbeing, or voluntary sector work
- Is organised, proactive, and able to work independently
- Has excellent communication and partnership‑building skills
