Retirement Education Foundation () is a fiscally sponsored program of United Charitable, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Our mission is to improve the financial acumen of the communities we call home. We do this by offering financial literacy courses for young adults and advanced retirement education courses for individuals who are near or already in retirement.
a national charity actively operating in Michigan and Missouri, with plans to expand to additional states.
Position OverviewThe Program Director helps drive the growth of and supports the rollout of new initiatives. The role includes coordinating youth financial literacy programming and supporting retirement education events. Because much of 's programing takes place in Michigan, the ideal candidate lives in Michigan and is available to attend events as needed.
This position is well suited for someone who enjoys community engagement, program development, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate financial literacy programming for young adults with schools and partner organizations
- Support the creation of new initiatives that advance the Foundation's mission
- Track program budgets and assist with resource planning
- Schedule classrooms and event spaces for education programs
- Manage orders for branded materials and educational supplies
- Assist with grant writing and reporting
We are looking for someone who is:
- A strong communicator who builds positive relationships
- A strategic thinker who can solve problems and move projects forward
- Able to manage several tasks at once
- Self-motivated and comfortable with both teamwork and independent work
- Passionate about helping communities through education
- Experienced with program coordination, youth engagement, or nonprofit work (paid or volunteer)
- Familiar with personal finance concepts or excited to learn
- Able to travel to in-person events with reliable transportation
- Holding a bachelor's degree, which is preferred but not required
- Hybrid role with a mix of remote work and in-person program support
- Occasional evening and weekend hours based on program needs
