Your Mission:
Become an Architect of Influence

As our Government Relations & Policy Intern
, you won’t just observe — you’ll actively support the strategies and initiatives that help Zoo Media expand its reach, strengthen its community impact, and advocate for youth‑centered creative opportunities nationwide.

Dive into detailed analyses and craft insightful reports that inform Zoo Media’s strategic decisions and community‑impact initiatives.

Driving Policy Forward

Support our government relations and advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels. Your work will help advance policies that support youth programming, digital access, creative education, and community development.

Crafting the Narrative

Develop well‑reasoned policy positions that align with Zoo Media’s mission — empowering youth, elevating creators, and expanding access to digital‑first opportunities.

Becoming a Policy Powerhouse

Prepare memos, contribute to drafting policy recommendations, craft public testimony, and develop persuasive advocacy materials that support Zoo Media’s initiatives.

Connecting the Dots

Help prepare follow‑up materials for high‑level meetings and respond to requests for data, research, and analysis from governmental and community partners.

  • You’re available for team meetings on Mondays at 9:00 AM
    , Wednesdays at 10:00 AM
    , and Fridays at 8:00 AM MST (Skill Bridge participants also meet Thursdays at 9:00 AM MST

  • You’re a current undergraduate student majoring in Government Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Communications, Public Administration
    , or a related field.
  • You can analyze complex intergovernmental issues and develop thoughtful recommendations.
  • You’re a strategic thinker who sees the bigger picture and understands how policy shapes opportunity.
  • You make sound decisions after evaluating multiple options.
  • Your written and verbal communication skills are sharp, clear, and persuasive.
  • You’re organized, detail‑oriented, and excellent at managing time and priorities.
