Executive Assistant Volunteer

Postpartum Support Virginia (PSVa) is dedicated to educating families, healthcare providers, and communities about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and to providing resources to help new and expectant parents overcome mental health challenges. As an Executive Assistant Volunteer, you will play a vital role in sustaining and expanding this important work through supporting our Executive Director and leadership team. This remote-based position is ideal for someone who is deeply passionate about supporting moms and families and who wants to contribute meaningfully to a growing, mission-driven organization.

• Manage Executive Director’s calendar
• Handle email and phone correspondence
• Organize files
• Coordinate logistics
• Assist with project tracking
• Research and compile information
• Report to Executive Director
• Attend 3 Quarterly Volunteer meetings per year

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Dependable, upbeat, positive, professional, collaborative
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent note-taking abilities
• Familiarity with maternal mental health is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus
• Access to a phone and internet
• Ability to commit to 15-20 hours/week for at least one year
• Gain executive-level, nonprofit experience.
• Network with nonprofit leaders.
• Receive a professional letter of recommendation upon request.
• Make an impact on families going through perinatal mental health challenges in Virginia.
