About Everett Community Growers Everett Community Growers (ECG) works to build a more just and equitable environment through urban agriculture, youth development, policy advocacy, and community engagement. ECG currently operates a community garden, a community farm, and farm stand; engages youth ages 14-21 in food systems work through our Youth Crew; and leads various civic and community engagement initiatives.
Position Overview The Community Resource & Events Coordinator will collaborate closely with ECG staff and external partners to plan, coordinate, and implement events and communications that build and sustain meaningful community engagement and action. This role supports and coordinates outreach efforts, manages communications platforms, and co-leads a Produce Prescription pilot program in partnership with the Cambridge Health Alliance.
Location: Primarily in our Everett office, with opportunity for remote work and occasional evening and weekend work in Everett and around the Greater Boston region.

- Plan, coordinate, and implement events such as community outreach activities, farm retail and other food distribution events, educational workshops, and staff and volunteer trainings and orientations
- Work closely with Program Managers to develop event concepts and themes that align with the organization's mission and goals
- Manage pre-event logistics, including venue selection, permitting, catering, equipment procurement, vendor coordination, interpretation procurement, volunteer management, and event registration
- Coordinate internal communication between staff regarding events to ensure awareness and assist in creating media and storytelling about the organization
- Work closely with the Associate Director of Research and Evaluation on post-event data and reporting
- Manage post-event follow up with attendees
- Review and assess current community engagement strategies, and develop improved or new systems to enhance outreach and enable timely, responsive engagement
- Utilize translation tools to ensure promotional materials are translated into Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole
- Collaborate with appropriate staff to develop promotional materials and with Program Managers to develop program materials
- Promote events through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and community partnerships
- groups, schools, and volunteers to promote events and foster participation
- Develop strategies to increase event visibility and attendance
- Assemble multilingual pamphlets for produce distribution that include produce availability, recipes, vegetable storage tips, farm updates, WIC and SNAP materials, and volunteer opportunities
- Manage all ECG social media channels including developing and maintaining a posting schedule, creating engaging posts, and monitoring engagement analytics
- Keep ECG website up to date
- Plan, create, and distribute ECG newsletter
Work closely with Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Department of Community Health staff and ECG Associate Director of Research and Evaluation to co-lead this pilot program, which distributes fresh produce to CHA patients at the Everett Care Center. Current program iteration ends September 2026, with possibility for extension.
Key Duties- Coordinate produce distribution on Mondays and Thursdays from January - September 2026
- Work with CHA and ECG staff to prepare bags, including receiving food delivery, organizing and assembling produce bags
- Co-lead registration on distribution days: check in patients, provide program information, distribute produce bags, ensure necessary paperwork completion, and distribute additional food resources
- Develop and share resources, communications and educational materials in multiple languages for patients on food security programs, local food resources, and program-specific information (coordinate with CHA for translation and printing)
- Attend weekly team meetings with CHA staff and the Associate Director of Research and Evaluation
- Utilize CHA tools to provide documentation and timely reporting on project metrics
- Coordinate donation of remaining produce bags to Bread of Life or other Everett residents experiencing food insecurity
- Manage an easily accessible and organized inventory of outreach materials and event supplies at the office
- Ensure inventory lists are up-to-date, including purchasing new office and events supplies as necessary
