Strategic Partnerships Coordinator

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) is a leading human rights organization dedicated to countering antisemitism and hate, promoting social inclusion, and advancing Canadian democratic values through advocacy and education.

FSWC operates at the intersection of public policy, public safety, education, and institutional leadership, engaging directly with government officials, law enforcement, corporate executives, educators, and national media. Our work is grounded in the enduring lessons of the Holocaust, community-informed engagement, and a commitment to supporting Jewish communities while advancing human rights for all.

The Opportunity

FSWC is seeking a highly organized and motivated professional to join our Advocacy team as a Strategic Partnerships Coordinator.

This role plays a key part in advancing FSWC’s partnerships with public, private, and non-profit sector organizations, particularly in relation to workplace antisemitism training and other adult education initiatives. The successful candidate will help guide organizations from initial interest through program delivery and sustained engagement, supporting the continued growth and national reach of these initiatives.

This is an externally-facing role requiring comfort engaging with senior institutional stakeholders, including those at all levels of government, law enforcement, and the corporate sector. It offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to advocacy initiatives with national impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and implementation of advocacy-driven engagement related to FSWC’s workplace antisemitism training and adult education programs, with a focus on national growth and scalability
  • Assist in identifying and cultivating engagement opportunities with organizations interested in FSWC programming, including follow-up communications and onboarding
  • Coordinate day-to-day engagement with external organizations, ensuring consistent, professional communication and effective program delivery
  • Draft and support preparation of proposals, presentations, briefing materials, and reports for external stakeholders and internal leadership
  • Track and maintain engagement records, monitor activities, and support reporting on outcomes and impact
  • Maintain awareness of developments related to antisemitism, workplace inclusion, and institutional DEI environments
  • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen engagement processes and improve coordination across advocacy initiatives
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, public affairs, political science, education, or related discipline)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in stakeholder engagement, advocacy, institutional relations, partnerships, or program coordination
  • Familiarity with Jewish community life, antisemitism, and related human rights issues
  • Demonstrated ability to engage confidently and professionally with senior leaders and institutional stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, externally facing environment
  • Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to FSWC’s mission
  • Why Work at FSWC

  • Meaningful work that contributes to real-world institutional and policy impact
  • Opportunity to build expertise in advocacy strategy, institutional engagement, and public affairs
  • A collegial mission-driven team environment
  • Professional growth opportunities
  • Compensation

    Commensurate with experience.
