Position: Housing Program Manager (Onsite)

Your

day as a Program Manager

As a Full‑Time Program Manager at The Road Home Dane County, your day‑to‑day responsibilities will revolve around implementing and monitoring a strengths‑based, solution‑focused approach to case management for programs and service. You will coordinate and lead team meetings, providing direction and support to staff while fostering a collaborative environment. As the supervisor of our onsite properties, you will be the primary coverage if your team has absences.

Your role will involve training, developing, and supervising case management staff to ensure alignment with our mission and goals. You will also be responsible for working towards partnership and system goals/improvements with families, housing agencies, and the Homeless Services Consortium.

Additionally, you will be accountable for tracking and meeting program goals and objectives, as well as assist in addressing operational and strategic issues as they arise. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, along with a commitment to service excellence and social equity in Madison.

This position's main office will be located at one of our onsite properties with weekly travel needs to our main agency office on Wingra Dr.

What we're looking for in a Program Manager

To excel as a Full‑Time Program Manager at The Road Home Dane County, candidates should possess a robust skill set tailored to the demands of nonprofit management. A minimum of three years of experience working with diverse populations in a nonprofit setting is required, showcasing your ability to understand and address the unique challenges faced by those we serve. A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred, with a Master's in Social Work or a related field a bonus, as this educational background equips you with essential knowledge and frameworks for effective program delivery.

Candidates must also demonstrate previous supervisory experience, highlighting your ability to mentor and lead a diverse team. Strong organizational and communication skills are vital, along with collaborative problem‑solving abilities to navigate complex situations.

Proficiency with data management software and Google Suite will enhance your ability to monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and optimize program performance.
