Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba (MDAM) – a self‑help, not‑for‑profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals, friends, families, and caregivers affected by mood disorders through peer support, education, and advocacy.

A facilitator plans, guides, and manages a men’s online peer support group (60 minutes, every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm).

• English language proficiency
• Lived or working experience with mental health
• Organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Well‑developed listening skills
• Knowledge of peer support or mental wellness (training provided)

Age: 18‑30, 31‑54, 55+

Volunteer shift: every Wednesday, 6:30‑7:30 pm (evening).

Location:

Winnipeg – Downtown (online). Time commitment classified as micro‑volunteering.

• Criminal record check required – yes
• Child abuse registry check – no
• Opportunity available to candidates fulfilling volunteer hours for school credit; candidates using a mobility device
• No cost reimbursement
• Organization will provide a letter of reference, certificate of recognition, evaluation, supervision, training/orientation.
