Volunteer - Boston Remote and Hybrid

Mass Portfolio Inc. is a mission-driven nonprofit that empowers youth, families, and underserved communities by bridging the gap between financial literacy and creative expression. We offer accessible and relatable programs for individuals aged 5 to 25, as well as adults and families seeking guidance on financial stability and creative outlets. Our initiatives address challenges such as poor credit, lack of financial education, and limited access to financial resources.

By combining financial tools with opportunities for storytelling and artistic growth, Mass Portfolio provides mentorship and support to foster personal and financial development.

This is a volunteer role for individuals passionate about leadership and community impact. The Volunteer Leadership Experience role involves coordinating community programs, assisting in financial literacy workshops, and mentoring program participants. Additional responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of events, fostering engagement, and creating opportunities for participants to thrive. This hybrid role is based in Boston, MA, with the flexibility to work from home for certain tasks and to work in person.

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and mentoring skills
• Organizational and event planning expertise
• Passion for financial literacy, community development, or creative education
• Basic knowledge of finances, budgeting, or related topics
• Adaptability to a hybrid work environment (onsite in Boston, MA, and remote)
• Proficiency in digital tools for managing communication and tasks
• Team-oriented mindset and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working with diverse communities is a plus
