Senior Youth Organizing Associate – Hybrid within Twin Cities metro, MN

Pay: The anticipated salary range for this position is $20.60-$26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift times: Primarily Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Some evenings and weekends required for events and community organizing activities.
Location: Hybrid: 1-2 days per week at 671 Vandalia Street, Saint Paul, MN 55114, remote work, and travel around Twin Cities metro area.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Regional Senior Organizing Manager, the Senior Youth Organizing Associate has the responsibility for building a network of young activists and leaders (ages 16-35) for the organization. The Senior Youth Organizing Associate is responsible for developing young leaders, organizing youth to take action on issues of reproductive health and freedom, and developing and delivering youth-oriented programming and grassroots actions to encourage young people to vote.

The Senior Youth Organizing Associate develops and executes the plan to further the programmatic goals of Planned Parenthood North Central States and the Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota Action Fund. Senior Organizing Associates are advocates in implementing our mission of “advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all”. They may perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Three years experience in a professional setting where the bulk of your role was issue or legislative advocacy, grassroots community organizing, and/or political campaigns.
  • Understanding of intersectional nature of social justice and equity interpersonally and systemically
  • Commitment to fighting for racial justice and advocacy
  • This position is based in the Twin Cities. Some work for this position can be conducted remotely, but it also requires in-person work, including events. This position can be fully in-person or hybrid.
