The Operations Division supports the Toronto Community Housing vision and mission through nurturing revitalized communities and tenants by providing programs, services and partnerships aimed at the needs of children and youth, working families, under employed youth, seniors and other vulnerable tenant populations.
Reporting to the Manager, Engagement Refresh, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the administration, implementation and continuous improvement of Toronto Community Housing’s (TCHC) Tenant Engagement System.
In this position you will be working with tenants, staff and community partners to enhance tenant engagement and empowerment through community led initiatives. This would involve supporting the development of materials and key performance indicators, facilitating workshops and building partnerships to ensure effective delivery of the program.
What you’ll do- Oversee work of local program staff (eg. Senior Program Leaders) including providing work direction and performance management
- Developing and overseeing work plans, tracking staff hours worked/absenteeism (Senior Program Leaders) and overseeing daily workflow
- Maintain expert knowledge of TCHC and TES (Tenant Engagement Systems) policies and programs
- Works with Managers and other staff to develop and implement ‘Engage Together’ and its applicable programs, collect key performance indicators including delivery of standardized reports on activities, surveys and other components of engagement. The duties include, compiling quantitative and qualitative information on program, providing input into the development of training and program materials, seeking input from staff, tenants and additional stakeholders.
- Responsible for developing tools to support program evaluation including information collection in each community; oversees the process and provides direction to staff on the collection and compilation of data. The duties include, assisting with the development of tools, develops systems for tracking responses, and determines which data methods are best suited. Compiles and analyzes responses obtained by Senior Program Leaders and other staff and reports/presents results.
- Builds and maintains relationships with tenants, staff and other stakeholders including community partners. The duties include, act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely response to inquiries, attending and maintain on going contact through meetings, phone calls and emails.
- Organizes and facilitates training workshops and information sessions, oversees meeting logistics including promotion, room set up, food and supplies and minute-taking.
- Support the development and distribution of educational resources. The duties include, develop relevant training materials and ensures they are distributed as per local outreach strategies. Develop and reviews materials and ensure they are distributed as per workplan.
