Community Support Coordinator (Serving Portage and Summit Counties)

This position is a hybrid role, involving in-office work, remote work, and local travel within designated areas to meet with members and troops in the community.

Girl Scouts of North East Ohio is seeking a full-time Community Membership Coordinator to provide a quality, customer-centered, and consistent experience that promotes girl and volunteer membership growth. Responsibilities include developing, retaining, and increasing girl/adult memberships in the assigned area; recruiting and supporting volunteers; assisting in planning membership expansion strategies; representing Girl Scouts in the community through presentations, collaborations, and networking;

and ensuring the accessibility of the Girl Scout Leadership experience within the area.

Major Accountabilities: Support the council's volunteer management system, including recruitment, screening, selection, placement, development, training, recognition, and reassignments of volunteers. Collaborate with staff and volunteers to analyze membership data, set, implement, and achieve membership goals.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, have a successful record in volunteer development/management, possess knowledge of the Girl Scout program (preferred), and meet travel requirements, including nights, weekends, and overnight stays.
