About HAVENHAVEN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing public health through violence prevention and providing services to improve the well‑being of children and families. Preventing abuse and providing support for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence leads to healthier, more secure children and adults.
Our missionTo prevent sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking, and to support and empower all women, men, non‑binary and transgender adults, youth and families to heal from abuse and rebuild their lives. Our vision is to eliminate domestic and sexual violence through education, support and social change.
We are embarking on a transformational $8 million capital campaign to establish a permanent home for HAVEN in Portsmouth, strengthening our ability to serve the community for generations to come.
Position SummaryHAVEN is seeking a skilled and motivated Campaign Manager to lead the day‑to‑day management of the campaign plan. This role is ideal for a fundraising professional ready to take ownership of a major gift campaign while collaborating closely with the Development Team, Executive Director, campaign steering committee, board members, volunteers, and development partners.
Reporting to the Development Director, the Campaign Manager will manage donor and prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, donor engagement, and progress through public phase, ensuring strong momentum and donor experience throughout the campaign.
This is a hybrid position
, with a mix of remote work and in‑person meetings, donor visits, and events throughout the Seacoast area.
- Manage the planning and execution of HAVEN’s $8 million capital campaign (Phase I), including timelines, benchmarks, and reporting.
- Track and steward campaign progress, pledges, and gifts; maintain accurate records and donor data.
- Manage a portfolio of campaign prospects and donors, supporting cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.
- Prepare donor materials such as proposals, pledge agreements, impact statements, and campaign updates.
- Support and coordinate board members and volunteer fundraisers with strategy, materials, and follow‑up.
- Collaborate with and support campaign committee members, preparing donor briefings, and supporting campaign‑related events.
- Collaborate with staff, consultants, and leadership to ensure consistent campaign messaging and strong stewardship.
- Contribute to campaign forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- 3–6 years of nonprofit fundraising experience; capital campaign or major gifts experience strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working with senior leaders, board members, and donors.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required. Completion of Criminal and Driver’s Record Check required for hire.
