Position Summary

The National Organizer of Field Mobilization is responsible for executing Right To The City Alliance’s 2026 Homes for All Field Plan for the year of 2026 by leading national volunteer recruitment, coordination, and on-the-ground field execution. This is a temporary role designed to support peak 2026 electoral and field activity, concluding on December 19, 2026.

2026 is a pivotal year for housing justice, as tenants and working class communities organize to confront corporate landlords, private equity, and MAGA aligned politicians, making housing a central political and pro democracy issue. This role supports the execution of RTTC’s 2026 field strategy, which centers on mobilizing tenants and allies through coordinated national voter outreach and electoral deployments to win housing focused victories and build lasting political power.

This organizer will recruit, train, and manage volunteers for national voter outreach and campaign support across priority states, including Massachusetts and New York, while also contributing to national electoral movement formation in key congressional districts. The role is focused primarily on volunteer management and serves as a connective link between campaign strategy, data, logistics, and member engagement, ensuring volunteers are prepared, supported, and effectively deployed and that field learnings strengthen overall campaign performance.

  • Coordinate real-time troubleshooting during deployments, maintaining alignment with campaign goals and volunteer care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between field teams, campaign leadership, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of field strategy.
Volunteer Recruitment and Retention (30%)

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain volunteer engagement throughout the 2026 campaign cycle.
  • Lead volunteer debriefs and feedback sessions to improve experiences and inform future campaign planning.
Data Support (10%)
  • Work closely with the Senior Organizer of Data Strategy to provide feedback on turf, voter/tenant outreach lists, and phonebank/textbank performance.
  • Ensure volunteers can access and use campaign data tools effectively for field events.
  • Track field engagement metrics and report insights to improve volunteer deployment and campaign outcomes.
  • Align data strategy with short-term electoral goals and long-term tenant power building.
Organizational Training and Capacity Building (10%)
  • Collaborate with logistics contractors to coordinate deployment planning, including volunteer scheduling, materials distribution, transportation, and on-site event support.
  • Ensure all necessary supplies, equipment, and wellness resources are available and organized for field activities.
  • Support smooth operations for national days of action and large-scale deployments.
