Position Summary

Roots of Change (ROC) is a “think and do” tank working to advance a resilient, healthy, and equitable food system in California and across the nation. In 2026, ROC is launching Vote for Your Food, a national campaign that uses food as a bridge to connect rural and urban communities and build support for a healthier and more resilient food system.

The Campaign Outreach & Community Engagement Specialist will play a key role in designing and implementing outreach for the Vote for Your Food campaign and expanding ROC’s engagement with key state and national allies. The role will help grow ROC’s network in rural and urban communities and deepen relationships with stakeholders across farming, agriculture, environmental, food and social justice, and public health sectors.

This role will manage our general social media channels, newsletters, podcast distribution, and work with allies to foster communication synergy to advance ROC’s goals and objectives.
