Overview
IFI, International Friendships, Inc., is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to extending life-changing love and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips. This position is for a Rochester Ministry Leader who will live near the campus and support area students and partners.
Expected Work Schedule- Full- or part-time, flexible schedule
- Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific ministry needs
- Annual conferences such as the IFI Staff Retreat
- Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
- Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners
- Pay range is between $25,709 and $80,000 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is one of many colleges in the Rochester area that hosts international students from around the world. International students bring diverse experiences, ideas, talents, and skills and seek to understand life in an American context as they study in Rochester. This position is part of the Rochester ministry team and requires the candidate to live near the campus on which they will be serving.
The Rochester Ministry Leader will establish a ministry location by building relationships with university staff, church partners, and volunteers. The leader will engage in personal ministry as well as mobilize others to host Bible studies, plan cultural events, and share the Gospel. It is vital to establish IFI as a recognized student organization, maintain good campus relationships, and maintain financial and prayer support for the budgeted needs of the role.
Needed, including Spiritual Characteristics
- Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
- Faithful in evangelism and hospitality to international students as well as discipling believers to do the same
- Well organized, takes initiative, able to work independently or collaboratively
- Flexible and adaptable
- Proficient with technology necessary to the ministry, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Demonstrated experience mobilizing, training, and ministering to people required
- Bachelor degree
- Experience in cross-cultural ministry, preferred
