This is a contract-based, possible hybrid role for a Community Specialist. The position is based in Merrillville, IN, with flexibility for field and/or remote work. The Community Specialist will specialize in a role (Home-Based Caseworker, Mental Health Therapist, or Tutor) that fosters positive relationships within the community. Responsibilities vary based upon specialized role, but all roles include maintaining effective communication and ensuring a welcoming experience for all families.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
• Experience in community engagement and proven ability to foster connections within diverse populations
• Effective communication skills to convey ideas clearly and collaborate with team members and the community
• Ability to adapt to hybrid work conditions, balancing office, field, and/or remote responsibilities
• Familiarity with social service practices or educational support programs is preferred
