Volunteer Director

Instinctively Wild CIC creates transformative outdoor experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds. The organisation aims to connect individuals with the natural world, fostering personal growth, and improved well-being. By providing support for vulnerable individuals, engaging young people in new perspectives, and empowering executive teams to uncover leadership potential, Instinctively Wild positively impacts diverse groups. Their programs are dedicated to nurturing resilience, understanding, and growth in unique outdoor settings.

This is a volunteer hybrid role for a Volunteer Director at Instinctively Wild. Remotely based, this role allows for a combination of on-site and work-from-home duties. The Volunteer Director will choose an area of responsibility (from either Forest Schools, Eco-therapy, Corporate Team-Building, Volunteer Management, Organisational development, Financial Planning, Marketing/PR, Website and SEO, Income generation).

Ideally we are looking for people with experience of business and know how to run a company. We are less worried about having first hand knowledge of the Outdoor Learning/Social Enterprise sector.

They will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s mission to deliver quality outdoor activities for diverse groups of individuals.

• Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with volunteers, team members, and external stakeholders.
• Experience in Program Development and Strategic Planning to design impactful outdoor activities and guide the organisation’s operational goals.
• Expertise in creating and delivering programmes.
• Passion for self-growth, working with diverse populations, and outdoor-based activities.
• Flexibility to blend home and on-site work as needed.
