Irving Cares is seeking a seasoned professional to provide grant prospecting and writing, proposal development, and funder alignment services. The Contract Grant Writer will play a crucial role in securing funding opportunities to support our organization’s programs, key strategic initiatives, and general operating funds. Reporting to the Community Engagement Director. The Grant Writer will kinds work as a remote position, but from time to may be asked to come to the office to meet with CEO and Community Engagement Director.
The vast majority of the meetings will be online meetings and phone calls.
The rate of pay is negotiable
Participate in developing a funder research and grant writing strategy that is aligned with Irving Care’s mission, programs, and geographic scope.
Managing the grant application process, including coordinating with internal stakeholders, collecting necessary documentation, and submitting timely and accurate grant applications.
Collaborate with program staff and leadership to understand project needs, gather data and develop compelling grant proposals and budgets
Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant narratives, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and guidelines
Tracking and reporting on grant activities, including grant awards, expenditures, and outcomes
Maintain a grant calendar and track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements.
Support post-award reporting and impact storytelling (as needed)
