About the Team

The Information and Support unit is responsible for a range of programmes and services to advance the provision of supportive care for people affected by cancer. Programmes aim to minimise the impact of cancer and/or improve quality of life.

About the Role

The Survivorship Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of Healthy Living after Cancer Program, which focuses on improving the psychological and physical wellbeing for people living with or after cancer.

Working closely with the Support and Wellbeing Programs Coordinator, this role will liaise with partner organisations and key stakeholders, developing effective working relationships to explore opportunities to grow and develop sustainable support programmes, in both metropolitan and regional South Australia.

Other duties will support delivering evidence‑based cancer support programmes within the Information and Support team.

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, health promotion, education or community development, with a minimum of three years relevant post‑graduate experience.
  • Experience in coordinating projects, with ability to critically appraise, evaluate and re‑design programmes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with demonstrated experience in dealing with complex emotional concerns.
  • Ability to network and well‑developed stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Self‑motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise task and reliably achieve objectives.
  • Sound knowledge of cancer control issues and the psychosocial impact of cancer on individuals, families and communities.

The role is being offered as a part time, 0.4

FTE, fixed‑term contract (12 months). We offer flexibility in times and days to be worked.
