Community Events and Outreach Coordinator

Our Safe Space — Tucson and Online

We’re looking for a creative, community‑minded person who loves dreaming up new ways for people to connect. This volunteer will help plan things months in advance—coordinating upcoming events in our Meetup group
, with a special eye toward seasonal themes, local happenings, and collaborative opportunities with other organizations. If you’re a natural connector who enjoys brainstorming, organizing, and getting the word out, this might be your spot.

• Create and publish new events on Meetup (we’ll show you how).
• Keep an eye on local happenings, holidays, awareness months, and community opportunities that fit our mission.
• Offer fresh ideas for workshops, social gatherings, and collaborative events.
• Communicate with community partners or potential partners as needed.
• Check in regularly and keep us updated on what’s coming up, what needs attention, and what’s exciting.
• Work closely with the founder for planning support, feedback, and coordination.

• Make an impact by breaking down barriers to education and providing opportunities for personal growth and community connection.
• Share your skills—whether you’re an expert in a specific field or simply passionate about helping others.
• Join a community of like‑minded individuals committed to making a positive impact.
• Flexible opportunities—variety of roles to fit your schedule and interests.

• A creative thinker who enjoys planning and imagining possibilities.
• Friendly, collaborative, and comfortable talking with new people.
• Organized enough to keep track of dates and details, and have a healthy relationship with Google Sheets.
• Responsive to suggestions and happy to work as part of a team.
• Socially aware and community‑oriented.
• Familiar with Meetup or other event platforms.

~2–4 hours per week, flexible and remote‑friendly. Our group is based in Tucson, but you do not have to be.
