Overview
As a Shelter Liaison you can make a difference from the comfort of your own home. Shelter Liaisons play a crucial role in virtually supporting our shelter partners. As a Shelter Liaison, you will be monitoring our shelter partners' posts on social media and sharing their news, ideas, and needs. Shelter Liaisons can choose to monitor five or more shelters in addition to signing on for special projects and teams.
This virtual volunteer position can be performed from anywhere in the United States. Produced an award winning short documentary, Amber’s Halfway Home, about a one woman single handedly rescues thousands of dogs in Memphis TN.
- Monitor shelter partners’ posts on social media and share their news, ideas, and needs.
- Assist shelters/rescues with grants and other resources through advocacy and collaboration.
- Participate in special projects and teams as assigned.
- Network to find solutions and save more dogs’ lives.
- Focus on and visit rural shelters in the United States.
- Invite everyone to be part of the solution.
- Ability to perform the role virtually from anywhere in the United States.
- Interest in advocacy through journalism, photography and film (as reflected by the organization’s activities).
