Next Chapter of La Crosse is seeking a Christ-centered, relational, and mission-driven
Discipleship Program Director
to guide men returning from incarceration through a structured, compassionate, and spiritually grounded reentry process. This role integrates
intake and resident navigation
,
discipleship leadership
, and
daily program oversight
within a 24-hour residential ministry environment.
The Director leads applicants and new residents through the full intake journey—application review, vetting, assessments, coordination with parole officers, and placement into treatment centers when needed—ensuring a smooth and supportive transition into the Discipleship Home. Once residents are enrolled, the Director provides ongoing spiritual mentorship through group discipleship, weekly one-on-one sessions, Bible literacy programming, and personalized case plans that support housing stability, employment readiness, community integration, and long-term life transformation in Christ.
A significant part of this role involves maintaining a strong presence in the Discipleship Home during late afternoons and evenings when residents return from work, cultivating a Christlike atmosphere of accountability, growth, and encouragement. The Director also builds partnerships with courts, parole officers, ARC centers, treatment providers, and community organizations; represents residents at hearings and graduations; and coordinates volunteers and mentors who support discipleship and transportation.
The ideal candidate is spiritually mature, emotionally resilient, and deeply called to walk alongside justice-involved individuals as they rebuild their lives through faith, structure, healthy relationships, and responsible decision-making. This role is vital in helping residents experience lasting spiritual transformation and sustainable life change rooted in the Gospel.
