Job Overview
Marketing Intern with Opry Entertainment Group (OEG), part of Ryman Hospitality Properties, focused on experiential learning in live entertainment marketing. You will support promotional efforts that drive audiences to iconic venues, with emphasis on events and co-promotions with key partners in and around Nashville. The program offers hands-on experience with audience acquisition, sweepstakes and partnership activations, project coordination, marketing materials quality reviews, sponsorship fulfillment, and other campaign-related projects.
As the ideal candidate, you bring enthusiasm to learn, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for music and marketing.
Program Details- 12-week paid internship in Nashville, Tennessee.
- Begins Monday, May 18 and concludes Friday, August 7.
- Interns may work up to 40 hours per week in office or venue settings.
- In-person positions; remote work, relocation assistance, and visa sponsorship are not available.
- Eligibility: current student with ability to work in the U.S. and reliable transportation.
- All offers contingent upon successful completion of a background check, including federally mandated E-Verify processes.
- Assist with audience acquisition and lead generation initiatives to drive audience growth.
- Support sweepstakes rollouts, including identifying partnership opportunities, defining plans and prizing, developing briefs, coordinating timelines and launches. Track KPIs and manage prize fulfillment.
- Assist with coordination and execution of partnership activation plans.
- Provide project support by creating and managing timelines, planning project needs, coordinating with key stakeholders, updating brand calendars, and providing project status updates.
- Review marketing elements across owned channels and third-party sites to ensure brand messaging quality and consistency.
- Ensure fulfillment of sponsorship exposure elements and coordinate sponsor-related requests.
- Additional projects may include consumer insights research, supporting onsite activations, preparing promotional graphics, creating UTMs, and developing campaign overview decks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program studying Music Business, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 1+ years of completed coursework in Music Business, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience in promotions, events planning, publicity, band management, or public relations preferred.
- Social media marketing experience and knowledge of country music preferred.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Passion for entertainment, hospitality, marketing, and business, with an interest in sales.
- Ability to take initiative on individual tasks while working collaboratively with a team.
- Positive, proactive, and eager to learn, with the ability to think on your feet and handle new challenges.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
Adobe Photoshop skills; basic HTML knowledge. - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
