Communications and Engagement Officer Band 5Job overview
Are you an enthusiastic communicator with a creative flair and a passion for developing engaging content? Join us for a fixed-term maternity cover opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge, and experience within a friendly, forward-thinking NHS communications team.
Working with a team of experienced communications professionals, you will be supported through training, skill sharing and mentoring in all areas of communications, marketing, and engagement.
With access to a range of professional tools, you’ll have the chance to use your creativity to bring our messages to life and support us to achieve our communications objectives.
The role will be broad, and you’ll be getting involved with a bit of everything day-to-day, but you’ll also have the chance to develop your skills in any areas of interest you may have, such as social media, web development, graphic design, and videography.
Ideally, you will have a good understanding of internal and external communications channels, experience of writing content for a range of channels and an eye for design – the most important thing is that you are enthusiastic, adaptable, and quick to learn.
We’re a busy, fast-paced team but we always support each other, welcome fresh ideas and most importantly, we are able to add real value with the work we do.
This post is part time 30 hours per week, fixed term until 30th April 2027.
