Our National K-12 Education Marketing Team has an opening for a Marketing Specialist to support our growing practice. This role could be based in the following cities:
Omaha, NE;
Overland Park, KS. DLR Group operates within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.
At DLR Group, the Marketing team provides strategic support in pursuit of new opportunities and the development of marketing materials. By leveraging a deep understanding of market trends and client needs, the team highlights the firm’s expertise in ways that resonate with prospective clients.
Position SummaryMarketing Specialists support strategic marketing plans by executing marketing tactics for a defined client sector team. The Marketing Specialist collaborates with a sector marketing leader, integrated design team members, and others to promote the sector's value proposition, promoting its design acumen to attract, engage, convert, and retain prospects, clients, and talent, and support growth of sector market share. They support the development of creative content, materials, and other deliverables, adhering to established processes and brand standards, in alignment with a sector marketing calendar and external communications plan.
WhatYou Will Do
- Execute tactics in support of the annual sector(s) calendar and marketing communications plan
- Support development of on-brand storytelling and content for the sector(s) page at
- Collaborate with sector integrated design team members (AEPI and specialty services) to promote innovation, thought leadership, and design work in marketing outreach
- Collaborate with business development professionals to create on-brand collateral for events and conferences
- Record project information in firm database to ensure institutional knowledge
- Collaborate with the Digital team to publish campaigns and initiatives on digital platforms or with emerging media methods
- Partner with Graphic Designer(s) for on-brand visual assets
- Work with Media Manager(s) to distribute campaigns and increase reach
- Coordinate with the Pursuit Leader to ensure marketing materials are shared for use in sector proposals
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or similar
- 3-5 years of relevant marketing communications experience writing and generating content in a professional services environment, preferably the AEC or design industry
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially In Design
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint and Teams
- Familiarity with information gathering from a database;
Deltek Vantagepoint preferred - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent deadlines
- Attention to detail and an ability to craft deliverables that comply with brand standards and style
- Critical thinker who can quickly evaluate needs and recommend responsive solutions
