Position: Ecommerce Manager (Marketplace)

A fast-growing UK consumer brand is looking for a Marketplace Manager to drive performance across its international eCommerce and marketplace channels. This is a great opportunity to join a profitable, scaling business in the consumer products space that has grown from £25M to £60M in revenue and is now entering its next phase of expansion.

Title: Marketplace Manager – Amazon (German Speaking)
Location: Surrey near Woking (2 days in the office)
Salary: £60,000
Contract: Full time permanent

The company has built a strong reputation with UK consumers and is stocked by major national retailers including Argos, John Lewis and Currys, alongside a growing direct-to-consumer eCommerce channel.

With new private investment secured, the business is now investing heavily in eCommerce, brand and international expansion. The plan is to triple revenue over the coming years, launching into new European markets (starting with Germany) and expanding the product portfolio.

This role will be central to that growth, owning and optimising marketplace performance across Amazon and other European platforms, while working closely with the wider eCommerce and marketing teams.

Role Overview

Reporting into the Senior eCommerce Manager, you’ll take ownership of marketplace performance across Amazon UK, Germany and France, alongside additional European platforms.

The role will focus on driving visibility, conversion and revenue across marketplaces, ensuring listings are optimised, content is high quality and performance is continually improving through testing and data‑led insights.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing Amazon marketplaces across the UK, Germany and France
  • Supporting expansion into additional international Amazon markets
  • Managing European marketplaces via Channel Engine (including Otto, Kaufland and Media Markt)
  • Creating and optimising product listings including titles, bullet points, descriptions and imagery
  • Managing A+ content and ensuring listings follow marketplace best practice
  • Monitoring marketplace performance and identifying opportunities to improve visibility and conversion
  • Running A/B tests on product content and assets to optimise performance
  • Working closely with PPC teams to support Amazon Ads and paid marketplace activity
  • Ensuring listings are optimised for marketplace SEO
  • Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the Shopify store when required
Candidate Criteria

This role would suit someone with strong marketplace experience, particularly within Amazon, who enjoys working in a commercial, data‑driven eCommerce environment.

  • Experience working with Amazon Brand Registry and A+ content
  • Strong understanding of marketplace product optimisation and best practice
  • Experience with A/B testing and performance optimisation
  • Comfortable working with PPC teams on marketplace advertising
  • Strong understanding of marketplace SEO principles
  • Fluent English and German (written and spoken)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical ability

Just as important is attitude – someone who is curious, proactive and driven by performance, with the ability to turn marketplace data into meaningful commercial insights.

Why Join?
  • Join a profitable, high‑growth consumer brand
  • Be part of a business targeting £150–200M revenue in the coming years
  • Play a key role in international marketplace expansion across Europe
  • Work closely with eCommerce, PPC and SEO teams in a collaborative environment
  • Opportunity to own and scale marketplace performance across multiple markets
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Birthday off
  • 1 paid volunteering day per year
  • Fully remote working
  • Monthly team socials
