Your Mission:
Become the Voice Behind the Zoo Media Story

As our Public Relations & Digital Communications Intern, you’ll dive into the fast‑paced world of creative communications, gaining hands‑on experience developing and executing PR strategies that amplify Zoo Media’s mission. You’ll work alongside experienced communicators and creative teams to craft narratives that inspire, inform, and engage our growing audience.

Becoming a Media Connector

You’ll help build and nurture relationships with journalists, creators, influencers, and digital media partners — becoming a trusted source for all things Zoo Media.

Crafting the Narrative

Learn to write compelling press releases, media advisories, brand statements, and communication materials that cut through the noise and elevate Zoo Media’s voice.

Supporting Creative Events & Initiatives

Assist in planning and executing publicity strategies for digital events, creative launches, youth‑centered programs, and community‑driven initiatives. You’ll help coordinate media outreach, attendance, and coverage.

Creating Engaging Content

Contribute to press kits, newsletters, social media messaging, and storytelling pieces that highlight Zoo Media’s mission, creators, and community impact.

Navigating Real‑World Communications

Gain exposure to crisis communication planning, learning how to support the team in addressing challenges with clarity, strategy, and professionalism.

Becoming a PR Analyst

Monitor media coverage, compile reports, and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns — turning insights into actionable strategy.

Do You Have the PR Power?
  • Available for team meetings on Mondays at 9:00 AM
    , Wednesdays at 10:00 AM
    , and Fridays at 8:00 AM MST (Skill Bridge participants also meet Thursdays at 9:00 AM MST
    )
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies
    , or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of media relations and core PR principles.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in modern communications.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about storytelling, youth culture, and digital media.
