We are seeking a results-driven Email Marketing Specialist (Contract) to own and execute our B2B email marketing initiatives for our caregiving community. This individual will be responsible for strategy execution, performance optimization, automation development, and cross-functional calendar ownership.
This role requires deep hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and a strong understanding of email performance analytics, deliverability best practices, and marketing automation strategy. The ideal candidate is analytical, systems‑oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a fast‑paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities- Own and execute all B2B email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Build, QA, schedule, and deploy email campaigns and automated journeys
- Develop and manage email automation workflows and nurture sequences
- Report on campaign performance (open rates, CTR, conversions, deliverability, engagement trends)
- Use data to drive strategic A/B testing and performance optimization
- Mine audience and behavioral data for actionable insights and test hypotheses
- Improve deliverability, segmentation strategy, and engagement rates
- Identify and implement automation efficiencies to streamline workflow
- Own and manage cross‑functional email calendar across marketing, partnerships, and sales
- Support light copywriting and content refinement to align with brand voice
- Collaborate with cross‑channel stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader marketing objectives
- 3–5 years of hands‑on email marketing experience (B2B2C preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (required)
- Experience building and optimizing automated email journeys
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle marketing
- Experience with A/B testing and data‑driven optimization
- Knowledge of email deliverability best practices
- Ability to analyze campaign data and translate insights into action
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Light copywriting/editing experience
- Experience integrating email with CRM and sales workflows
- B2B2C Communications strategy
- Startup or SaaS/tech marketing experience
- Experience improving marketing automation efficiency
- SMS marketing experience
Estimated Hourly Pay (Kansas City Market): $40 – $60 per hour
This range reflects fair market value in the Kansas City area for a contract, non‑exempt Email Marketing Specialist with Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise and automation experience. The premium reflects required platform specialization and independent ownership expectations.
