Summary/objective

The Regional Marketing Director is a strategic and creative leader responsible for driving brand visibility, member engagement, and revenue growth across multiple club locations, including Albemarle Square, Downtown, Adventure Central, Pantops, Crozet, and Crozet Park.

This role blends strategy, execution, and leadership — overseeing integrated marketing initiatives that support membership growth, retention, programming, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on marketing professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑location environment and can seamlessly move from big‑picture planning to tactical execution.

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns supporting promotions, events, and membership initiatives.
  • Design and distribute compelling monthly marketing materials aligned with club goals and brand standards.
  • Ensure all digital and print marketing assets reflect a consistent, elevated brand voice and visual identity.
  • Execute home office initiatives across regional clubs with precision and timeliness.
Digital & Content Marketing
  • Develop, publish, and analyze daily social media content for assigned clubs, driving engagement and brand awareness.
  • Grow and manage email marketing lists, delivering weekly communications and operational alerts while monitoring key performance metrics.
  • Maintain and expand the existing high‑quality photo and video library showcasing events, programs, team members, and club culture.
  • Oversee website content to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and strategic messaging.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison for club department heads, conducting regular meetings to identify needs and align on priorities.
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to the Regional Events & Marketing Director, including oversight of quarterly event planning, scheduling, and performance metrics.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with operations, fitness, aquatics, membership, and programming teams to bring initiatives to life.
  • Establish clear timelines, workflows, and quality control processes for all marketing projects.
Community Engagement & External Promotion
  • Build strategic relationships with local businesses and community partners to create external promotional opportunities.
  • Identify and develop marketing‑driven membership events and community activations.
  • Support corporate outreach and engagement by fulfilling marketing requests from Corporate Sales.
  • Conduct quarterly club walkthroughs to ensure in‑club signage, messaging, and communications are current and impactful.
Requirements Physical demands
  • Must be able to work with a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to drive in between the 6 acac locations.
Required competencies, education, and experience
  • 3‑5 years marketing experience in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment.
  • Experience directly supervising at least one employee in a marketing department.
  • Graphic design knowledge / Adobe Creative Suite & Canva.
  • Email marketing / copywriting and editing.
  • CRM experience preferred – Hubspot.
  • Photography / videography experience a plus.
  • Event planning.
  • Detail oriented and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction.
  • Excellent project management skills, high attention to detail, and works well in fast‑paced environment.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

  • Deliver five‑star service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor at all times.
