In the Industry Marketing organization, we are aligned across Siemens Software’s core strategy of going to market by industry. To effectively meet the evolving needs of the data center market, the industry marketing manager is responsible for creating marketing strategies, messaging, campaigns, and developing a deep understanding of their industry and audiences to support the achievement of our revenue and growth objectives.
ResponsibilitiesWorks alongside senior industry leaders to translate wider company goals into effective and focused marketing strategies for the data center industry
Owns marketing responsibilities for campaign development within the data center industry, including the creation of highly targeted messaging for specific audiences across the buying cycle
Supports industry-related marketing activities as a senior-level marketing manager in a large corporation. This includes management of sales/field enablement strategies for marketing campaigns, ensuring easy, one-stop access to marketing collateral, delivering training, and other enablement activities for a specialized data center sales organization
Collaborates with the cross-business unit marketing team, business partners, and other executives to identify, develop, and implement data center industry-specific strategies, plans, and campaigns
Skills and Abilities
(Qualifications)
Possesses a deep knowledge of the data center industry, with experience in market research programs and the use of data to make well-informed strategic decisions. This includes understanding industry trends, challenges, and opportunities related to data center infrastructure management (DCIM), operation and energy efficiency, sustainability, electronics and the impact of AI workloads on data center operations.
Proven ability to manage programs/projects, including definition of timing plans, resources and deliverables as well as issue identification and resolution.
Excellent written skills, including the ability to develop clear target audience definition, messaging concepts, and author appropriate content to support marketing execution and sales enablement for the data center industry.
Ability to collaborate with and influence others as part of a virtual team, as well as lead virtual teams and projects.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision; self-motivated and a self-starter.
Structured thinker and excellent analytical skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior and large audiences as needed.
Excellent English communication skills.
Master’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or Business.
10+ years’ experience in marketing strategy, ideally within the data center sector or related critical infrastructure industries.
Marketing content/campaign creation experience (B2B) with specific background in messaging, collateral development, etc.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and ability to learn new productivity software skills as needed.
