Senior Director - volunteer

The Experiential Marketing Measurement Coalition is a nonprofit association of global event marketing leaders who are seeking to advance the industry through credible measurement practices and standards. We regularly publish guidance directly to our members (currently around 100 people), through media partnerships in the U.S. (with Event Marketer) and in the U.K. (with Event Industry News).

We are seeking a Senior Director to help advance our mission and progress a number of initiatives which the EMMC board and members contribute to on a volunteer basis:

• Marketing and communications to reach people across the industry
• Getting content to more people in the industry
• Attracting members
• Research initiatives
• Partner and sponsor recruitment
• Development of formalized education
• Creation of a benchmarking platform

The group has bold ambitions, relevant experience and expertise. What we don’t have is focused time to advance our mission and initiatives.

The Senior Director role will be responsible for:

• Representing the EMMC to stakeholders across the industry
• Building project plans and keeping volunteer team members on task
• Contributing ideas and strategies

The ideal candidate is:

• Knowledgeable and passionate about the event marketing industry
• A fantastic communicator
• Highly organized

Location:

remote - anywhere, noting our board is currently comprised of U.S. and UK leaders.

Expected time:
We'd estimate up to 10 hours a week

This is a volunteer role, but may progress into a paid position depending on future organisational funding.
