The Communications Manager will lead communications in numerous areas for Deluxe, including working directly with the VP of Communications to develop and implement communication strategies and plans. This individual will develop, write, pitch, and coordinate media and social media opportunities to promote Deluxe and its executives, and engage internal stakeholders with key business‑unit communications.
Responsibilities- Drive external communication strategy, partnering with business and operational leaders—including the CEO—and external agencies to plan, develop, and execute media relations and other tactics to reach and engage external stakeholders.
- Partner with internal marketing and content teams to ensure alignment of content themes, messaging, and other external‑facing efforts.
- Facilitate and coordinate the execution of speaking and other engagements, offering dedicated support to executives, ensuring the success of high‑profile interactions and contributing to the overall effectiveness of company events and gatherings.
- Manage external resources to advance communication and PR objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience developing and implementing external communication and PR strategies.
- Master’s degree and 8 years of experience in communications or a related field.
- Experience managing agencies and external partners.
- Experience coordinating with marketing and content efforts.
- A strong track record of execution.
- Ability to manage multiple key initiatives concurrently.
- Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
- Highly proactive and collaborative style.
The compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 – $ annually. This position is eligible for a commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay offered will vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, location, experience, and internal equity.
