The Role:

We're looking for a Director of Marketing to build and lead our marketing function from the ground up. This is a high-impact, strategic individual contributor role for someone who can think big, operate independently, and execute with precision. You'll own the full marketing lifecycle - from shaping our brand narrative to generating pipeline, crafting campaigns, and enabling sales. This is a unique opportunity to set the marketing vision while staying close to execution in a fast-moving startup environment.

In your first 6 months, you'll focus on clarifying our positioning, standing up demand generation campaigns, and laying the foundation for scalable content, messaging, and brand strategy.

This is an NYC-based role (in-person work expected 3 days per week) and reports directly to our CEO.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and own a multi-channel marketing strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and qualified pipeline.
  • Define and evolve product positioning and messaging across core use cases and new releases.
  • Launch and manage demand generation campaigns across paid, organic, email, and events.
  • Equip the sales team with effective enablement tools - pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies.
  • Lead content development for blogs, webinars, customer stories, and thought leadership.
  • Build brand awareness through strategic communications and PR (as needed).
  • Establish foundational marketing infrastructure, including performance tracking and vendor/contractor relationships.
Early Success Looks Like:
  • 2-3 marketing campaigns launched with measurable performance.
  • Core product messaging and sales enablement toolkit finalized.
  • Alignment with Sales and Product teams on go-to-market priorities and launch rhythm.
You Should Have:
  • 6-8+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in early-stage or growth-stage startups.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and own marketing from scratch - ideally in a founding or first-marketer capacity.
  • Strong experience with messaging development, campaign strategy, and content creation.
  • Deep familiarity with marketing channels and tools (email, paid, SEO, events, automation).
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability - you can both see the big picture and deliver the work.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in an environment with high ambiguity and low ego.
Bonus If You Have:
  • Experience in healthcare or healthtech (not required)
  • Exposure to brand-level messaging, PR, or corporate communications

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $,000. This role also offers benefits and equity. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
