Vice President; North America

Fight or Flight is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Vice President (VP) to join our rapidly growing North America team.

Fight or Flight is a fast-growing integrated communications agency that helps B2B brands deliver greater business impact. Our services include everything from media relations, social media, content creation, research and insights, sustainability advisory, to account-based marketing.

Our NA-based Fight or Flighters (“Foffers” for short) typically work from home. Although we are remote‑first, we come together regularly as a team from across the country for in‑person meet‑ups.

• Developing creative campaigns that can be executed across an integrated mix of marketing channels for maximum commercial impact
• Leading development and delivery of media campaigns for clients ranging from household name brands to scaleups
• Constantly monitoring the media agenda to identify opportunities for clients
• Regularly speaking with and pitching newsworthy stories to media
• Leading press office programs and campaign activations for clients, including budgeting, scoping and financial analysis
• Directly speaking and partnering with clients, sharing insights on their industry and providing sound counsel
• Managing and mentoring team members, including training junior staff in media relations best practice
• Playing a lead role in new business pitches

• A minimum of 8-10 years of B2B/corporate communications experience (previous PR/marketing agency experience preferred but not essential)
• A proven track record in media relations – strong media relationships, knowledge of how different media work and examples of standout coverage
• A strong client counsellor – someone who is comfortable counselling clients, with experience serving as primary day‑to‑day client contact in previous roles
• A solid writer with experience in writing media‑ready materials (press releases, bylines, pitches etc.)
• Someone who has their finger on the pulse of the media agenda
• A confident multi‑tasker who is excited and motivated working in a fast‑paced environment
• Someone who is comfortable working in a flat‑structured, meritocratic environment

The annual US salary range for this role is: $130,000 – $160,000.

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will be determined by factors including location, experience, qualifications and expertise.
