Gild is a private, invite-only community for senior technology leaders. We host curated dinners and mixers where founders, executives, and investors connect deeply, not through transactional networking but through meaningful conversation and shared ideas.
We’re building something special in Austin—a hub where the city’s most innovative leaders come together.
The RoleWe’re looking for an Events Manager who thrives on people, creativity, and execution. You will be the face of Gild in Austin, co-hosting events with our founder, leading sponsorship outreach, and driving the strategy behind how our events and brand are marketed and experienced.
This is a hybrid role that blends event leadership, business development, and marketing management
. You’ll not only oversee Gild’s local events but also lead the internal team responsible for marketing, communications, and brand presence.
- Host unforgettable events: Co-host Gild events with our founder and ensure every guest feels part of something exclusive.
- Lead event marketing: Oversee the planning and execution of outreach campaigns, emails, and social content that drive attendance and awareness.
- Guide the marketing and creative team: Manage the people responsible for Gild’s social media, branding, website, and advertising efforts. You’ll set goals, define priorities, and ensure consistent, high‑quality execution across every channel.
- Drive sponsorship outreach: Identify, connect with, and pitch potential sponsors and partners aligned with Gild’s audience.
- Collaborate on logistics: Work closely with our Events Coordinator to manage venues, vendors, and on‑site production.
- Expand Gild in Texas: Help bring Gild to new cities like Dallas and Houston. Occasional travel required.
- An entrepreneurial doer who thrives in fast‑moving, creative environments.
- A people magnet who is confident, warm, and natural in front of a crowd.
- Experienced in events, partnerships, and event marketing management (3–6 years preferred).
- Strong at team leadership — able to direct, motivate, and hold people accountable to high standards.
- Fluent in brand storytelling and digital communication across social, web, and paid media.
- Organized, strategic, and passionate about building communities that matter.
- Deeply connected to, or excited by, Austin’s startup and tech scene.
- Base salary: $70,000–$90,000
- Travel and event expenses covered
- Flexible schedule, remote work, and creative autonomy
