We are seeking a proven, strategic individual to lead Executive Communications for the HPE Financial Services business group (HPEFS) and the executive for that business group. This is a rare opportunity to join HPE’s global communications team, with more than 100 communicators across the globe. We advocate for HPE’s corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership, and are responsible for enhancing HPE’s culture and reputation, showcasing innovation and leadership, and driving business outcomes.

The Director, HPEFS Executive Communications will help shape the company’s financing solutions and IT lifecycle services narratives internally and externally. This role requires a collaborative professional with executive presence to lead a team (directly and indirectly) that develops, implements, and measures sustained 360-degree communications programs for the HPEFS business and Maeve Culloty, EVP, President & CEO of HPE Financial Services.
Responsibilities- Understand the communications needs of various internal and external audiences; develop key messaging and communications plans to support key business priorities and drive desired outcomes.
- Manage a team of two including a senior communications manager and an individual contributor; partner closely with PR and AR leaders.
- Help drive the strategy and planning to support key internal and external events.
- Drive strategy and execution around the development of executive presentations; write and edit speeches; develop communications strategy and content for organizational announcements; draft emails, web content, blog posts, articles, etc.
- Oversee executive social media strategy.
- Partner with HR and BU stakeholders to drive adoption of culture across HPEFS team members.
- Serve as a member of the HPEFS leadership team; act as communications consultant and strategist for HPEFS and work closely with other leadership to deliver on business priorities.
- Work cross-functionally across teams, businesses, and functions to ensure alignment.
- Learn the voice and style of HPEFS leaders to effectively communicate using a variety of communications vehicles.
- Strategy: develop narratives and communications strategies that resonate with the market and advance HPE’s transformation.
- Writing: superior writing and editing skills; recognized for high-quality work and ability to edit others.
- Superior listening, interpersonal, storytelling, organization, and program management skills.
- Experience leading virtual teams and influencing across levels; collaborative leadership style.
- Understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools, and vehicles; knowledge of PR, AR, or financial communications is helpful.
- Ability to link communications plans to business results; translate technical information into audience-appropriate communications.
- Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and ability to work under tight deadlines with composure.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the company, including senior management; tact and diplomacy; adaptability and humor.
- Ability to thrive in hybrid/remote/work-from-home environments.
- Ideally based in New Jersey or Houston, Texas or willing to travel as needed.
- Minimum 10 years of internal or external communications experience, with a Fortune 500 company or global enterprise; strong PR and social media experience.
