At Canonical, the product marketing team builds the best Go‑To‑Market (GTM) engine in the open source world. This dynamic, hands‑on position requires close collaboration with Product, engineering, content, Sales, and other Marketing teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, thrives in fast‑paced environments, and works to own and execute GTM campaigns while driving continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do- Develop and execute go‑to‑market (GTM) strategies for a range of products.
- Lead messaging and positioning efforts to make our products stand out.
- Plan product content – from website copy to whitepapers, blogs, and sales enablement materials.
- Collaborate on marketing campaigns, partnering with regional marketing teams to drive pipeline growth.
- Launch new products and features, leading cross‑functional teams to drive awareness and adoption.
- Run competitive analysis, staying ahead of market trends and evolving positioning.
- Support the customer success team on seeking engagement and growth opportunities.
- Plan and execute global events, webinars and community meet‑ups aligned with GTM priorities.
- Passion for technology and open source‑centric innovation.
- Strong storytelling and messaging skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Growth mindset focused on experimentation, learning and continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Data‑driven mindset using analytics to refine strategy.
- Experience in product marketing for enterprise software, cloud, Dev Ops, or open‑source solutions.
- Experience with demand generation and translating GTM strategies into pipeline growth.
- Comfort working cross‑functionally with product, sales, partners and marketing teams.
Base pay is based on location, experience and skills. Additional benefits include annual bonuses and sales incentives.
