Senior Account Manager – Vital Design

Location:

Portsmouth, NH

Salary Range: $55,000 – $95,000+ (dependent on experience)

• Self-manage a full account load.
• Proactively pitch projects based on industry and competitor expertise.
• Understand the digital marketing strategy and recommend next steps (SEO, design, dev).
• Comfortable having difficult conversations with clients about improving the relationship and/or process.
• Grow account by increasing retainer budget or extra projects.
• Manage client expectations through proactive communication and scope management.
• Manage production and timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget completion of all tasks.
• Work with senior digital marketing, website development, and brand strategists to develop project plans that meet client objectives.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, copywriters, photographers, and media-production specialists to execute projects on time and on budget.
• Attend and help lead project kickoffs, weekly client status update calls, periodic planning meetings, and other critical milestone meetings.
• Manage client billing and look for opportunities to add value through additional projects and initiatives.
• Become the in-house expert of the client’s business and industry.
• Stay informed about industry developments and best practices and apply cross-platform learning to benefit your clients.
• Help make Vital a better place by finding opportunities to improve culture, process, and client results.

• At least four years experience working as a client-facing account manager in an agency.
• Experience managing projects within one or more of the following disciplines: performance-based digital marketing, website development and design, multimedia production, brand strategy.
• Experience using project management software to keep projects on track.
• Working knowledge of digital marketing, website development/design, and/or brand strategies and best practices.
• Process-focused, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once.
• Comfortable leading both internal and client meetings and calls.
• Team player prepared to work closely with a creative team.
• Excellent client management and communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.

• Experience using Google Analytics to track and measure performance.
• Experience using digital marketing tools such as Hub Spot, Moz, Sprout Social, Buffer, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, Buzz Sumo, Crazy Egg, etc.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Teamwork, Gather Content, InVision, and Userback.
