We create marketing solutions across digital, social, print, and direct response channels, helping our clients solve their most important sales, marketing, and business challenges.

We’re seeking a Strategic Accounts Manager to take ownership of our most complex client relationships and help shape the future of our agency. This role blends strategic marketing expertise with hands-on client management and offers a clear path for growth into broader leadership responsibilities.

Role Overview

As a Strategic Accounts Manager, you will manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of high-profile clients, acting as a trusted advisor and marketing strategist. You’ll collaborate closely with our SEO, social, web, creative, and paid media specialists to deliver best-in-class solutions across both digital and traditional channels.

This is a highly visible role with opportunities to influence agency direction and contribute to the success of our clients and our team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure client satisfaction and success across traditional and digital marketing projects.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships with executives and key stakeholders.
  • Translate client goals into actionable marketing strategies and customized plans.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to execute campaigns in SEM, paid and organic social, email marketing, OTT, reputation management, and more.
  • Monitor performance, analyze ROI, and recommend adjustments to improve campaign results.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and profitability across projects.
  • Identify upsell opportunities and expand client relationships.
  • Provide strategic insight into the residential energy industry, becoming a trusted expert for your clients.
  • Collaborate with — and at times lead — internal teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Represent Warm Thoughts at regional and national industry events as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in an agency or client-side marketing role, with a strong digital focus.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex client accounts and delivering measurable results.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, UX, paid media, content, social, email, and reputation management.
  • Experience with Word Press CMS, Google Analytics/GA4, Google Business Profile, and project management tools (e.g., Basecamp).
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Leadership experience or aptitude — able to guide, influence, and occasionally direct cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of the residential energy industry (renewables, utilities, propane/oil, HVAC) is a plus but not required.
