Our client, the electric motor manufacturing industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Manager to join their team. As a Manufacturing Quality Manager, you will be part of the Quality Department supporting the manufacturing site. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Manager
Location: Plattsburgh, NY (Remote work options available)
Pay Range: $90000 - $95000
What's the Job?
- Lead and continuously improve the plant’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards.
- Maintain certification standards such as AAR M1003 with zero major non-conformances.
- Reduce customer complaints by at least 20% within 12 months and improve internal quality performance.
- Develop and implement training plans for Quality Technicians and Inspectors to build a high-performing team.
- Lead at least two major continuous improvement projects annually focused on quality or process enhancements.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on manufacturing quality experience, with expertise in PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, and standards like AAR M1003.
- Proficiency in metrology, inspection methods, and ERP/QMS systems such as Epicor, Plex, or SAP.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and coach team members effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root-cause analysis and data interpretation.
- Exceptional communication skills to translate technical issues into business impact and collaborate across departments.
