About the Position:
Extrusion Plant leadership role responsible for managing the extrusion operations and process engineering teams to achieve maximum results for Quality, Safety & Productivity. Direct the daily operations of the extrusion facility while championing team development to continually improve process and products. This is a rare opening and a great opportunity in a prime location!

• Manage a plastic extrusion group of roughly 150 with 5 direct reports.
• Develop and execute policies regarding quality, safety & continuous improvement/lean manufacturing by establishing standards, statistical methods, good communication, follow-up and proper training.
• The Operations Manager is responsible for the manufacturing operations team as well as the process engineering team at this plastics extrusion plant.
• Collaborate with management team to develop budget, including capital requirements, and meet your budgetary goals.
• Coordinate the plant operation with other areas including Sales/Marketing, R&D, Logistics and Material Management, Customer Service, other plants and technology. Promote teamwork between the various teams.
• Keeps corporate management informed and updated on production and other issues as needed.
• Works closely with Human Resources to develop overall training systems to improve employee development and plant production.
• Maintains high level of safety ensuring equipment and facilities are in proper condition.
• Develop the managers reporting to you to their highest capabilities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an engineering discipline preferred or 10 years of production experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management role
• Must have a plastics manufacturing (extrusion, injection, blow molding) background
• Strong leadership background in team building and employee development.
