Your role

The Deputy Repairs Manager provides operational leadership across responsive repairs, voids, disrepair and emergency works, ensuring a safe, high quality and customer focused service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of repairs, maintenance, construction methods and building pathology, supported by an HNC or equivalent experience. Excellent communication, partnership building, political awareness and the ability to work under pressure are essential, alongside a commitment to safety, accountability and Team Wigan behaviours.

About us

Wigan Council has been voted ‘Overall Council of the Year’ at the APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) Awards. We are signed up to the Greater Manchester Continuous Service Commitment ensuring that your service will be continuous or 'unbroken' between the supporting organisations.
